Booking terms

This page summarises the main conditions applying to stays offered by LB Vacation Rentals. It does not replace the quotation, property description, house rules or contract provided before confirmation. Those documents specify the property, owner, dates, price, security deposit and cancellation terms applicable to the relevant booking.

Booking and payment

For a direct booking, 25% of the total price is payable at the time of booking as an advance towards a binding reservation. The remaining 75% is due 28 calendar days before arrival. If the booking is made within 28 days of arrival, the full amount is payable immediately. For bookings made through a third-party platform, the payment schedule shown by that platform applies.

Cancellation and changes

The cancellation policy and applicable deadlines are displayed before confirmation and appear in the booking documents. A direct cancellation must be sent in writing; a platform booking follows the procedure and terms shown by that platform. Ordinary weather, late arrival, early departure or a change of personal plans does not automatically create a right to a refund or rescheduling. If the booked property becomes unavailable, a suitable alternative may be offered; if it is declined, the amounts paid for the stay are refunded. No 14-day withdrawal period applies to dated accommodation services.

Security deposit and damage

The amount and method of the security deposit are disclosed before booking. It may take the form of a card pre-authorisation. Any deduction is explained and supported by available evidence; normal wear and tear is excluded. A claim against the deposit or payment card is notified within 14 calendar days after departure, and any unclaimed balance is released or refunded within the same period. The deposit does not limit liability for proven losses exceeding its amount.

Occupancy and essential rules

The lead guest must be an adult and provide accurate booking information. The property capacity must be respected, and additional overnight guests require prior written approval. Subletting, unlawful use and unauthorised parties or events are prohibited. Guests must respect neighbours, quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., the no-smoking rule and the property-specific pet rules. Children remain under the supervision of the adults accompanying them. The contract provided before confirmation may stipulate a €200 penalty for each separate, substantiated occurrence of smoking in a prohibited area, accommodating unauthorised additional guests, holding an unauthorised party or event, or causing a serious noise disturbance or repeated disturbances after a warning. Its application remains subject to the contract, any applicable platform procedure and applicable law.

Arrival, stay and departure

Apparent damage, missing items or cleanliness concerns should be reported within 24 hours of arrival, preferably with photographs. Any later malfunction, damage or safety issue must be reported promptly so that a reasonable solution can be arranged. Guests must allow access when necessary for an urgent intervention and leave the property tidy, with used dishes gathered in the sink or placed in the dishwasher, bins handled as instructed and keys returned according to the departure instructions.

Liability and insurance

Guests are responsible for damage caused by them or members of their party, subject to applicable law. The Host is liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings only where liability arises under applicable law, including in cases of negligence or breach of its obligations. Liability may be excluded in the event of force majeure as defined by applicable law. Travel cancellation and holiday-rental liability insurance are strongly recommended.

Personal data

Personal data is processed for booking, payment, stay management, assistance and legal obligations. Read the privacy policy.

Complaints, mediation and applicable law

A complaint should first be sent to contact@lbvacationrentals.com. If a consumer dispute concerning a service provided by SAS Blue Sunrise remains unresolved after a prior written complaint, the consumer may contact CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France — cm2c.net. The contract is governed by French law, and disputes are submitted to the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.
